Do you feel that crisp in the air? That can mean only one thing: IT’S HOCKEY SEASON!
The Cornwall Nationals took to the ice again on October 20, facing off against their rivals the Watertown Wolves, skating away with a 5-0 win and we couldn’t be happier.
Cornwall is a hockey town, and nowhere does that shine quite like on the ice at the Ed Lumley Arena. The Nats are a relatively new team, forming in 2016 to play in the Federal Hockey League (FHL), a minor hockey league that spans Northeast and Midwestern States and Ontario, but you wouldn’t know that from the fire they bring to the ice game after game. This is high level play at a low level ticket price, and Cornwall can’t enough of these games.
If you’re thinking of checking out the FHL in Cornwall, take a look at this schedule! With games throughout the regular season, you shouldn’t miss out on one of hockey’s best kept secrets: The Cornwall Nationals!
Nearby Morrisburg features the Upper Canada Village, which transforms every December into a display of holiday spirit! Over half a million lights adorn 40 heritage buildings and surrounding trees and fences to ignite your heart for the Christmas season! Go for a stroll through beautiful vistas you’ll only find at this time of year, or take a romantic carriage ride for two! There will also be festive dining, shopping, music and more… including a gingerbread house competition! We look forward to it every year and we hope you will too. Details available here!
We hope you’ll come experience winter in beautiful Cornwall, and that when you do you’ll book a stay at the Ramada Cornwall hotel!
