Cornwall is a full of pride – we’re proud of being Canadian, proud of our community, and proud to be exactly who we are. Come show that pride in Cornwall this summer!
Celebrating the LGBTQIA community in Cornwall! This family-friendly event will put on a parade down Fifth St. at 11:00 AM on July 14, culminating in a festival at Lamoureux Park in the afternoon! Featuring live music and entertainment, including a drag show from Cornwall’s own Misty Mac! There will be face painting, arts and crafts, and a BBQ so you can have fun while teaching your kids about inclusivity and diversity!
Of course, when you put the kids to bed you can join the Pride party at the Hangover Bar for a live concert with the Capital Kings and The Starlight Diva & Friends! It’s going to be a great time for everybody involved. Come celebrate Pride in Cornwall!
The War of 1812 has been in the news lately, for maybe not the BEST reasons, but if you want to familiarize yourself with the history of this conflict then there is no better way than to head to the Upper Canada Village on July 14 for a live re-enactment of one of the war’s major battles! Featuring trained actors performing what it would have been like to be a soldier at the time, this event will bring history to life! Whether you’re a long-time history buff or just have a passing interest in the role this war played in the shared history of Canada and the United States, this is a fantastic learning opportunity. Upper Canada Village’s re-enactment takes place July 14.
