Are you an avid hockey fan? Then Cornwall is the place for you. While we don’t have our own National Hockey League team, we do have two local teams that we can’t help but cheer for the Cornwall Colts and the Cornwall Prowlers. So if you’re visiting Cornwall this winter, be sure to grab a front-row seat to see either of these teams live.
The Cornwall Colts is the city’s very own Tier 1 Junior A team. They play at the Cornwall Civic Complex all winter long, facing off against the Ottawa Senators, the Rockland Nationals, and the Nepean Raiders, among others. Led by head coach, owner, governor, and general manager Ian MacInnis, the Colts are a major source of pride here in Cornwall. Tickets are available at the door and proof of vaccination is required to attend all games. Ticket prices range from $8 for children under 12 to $12 for adults. Season tickets are also available, which includes access to 26 regular-season games, as well as pre-exhibition games, for $225.
See Cornwall’s Eastern Ontario Senior Hockey League (EOSHL) team, the Cornwall Prowlers, in action this winter! The Senior “A” Prowlers are the second local hockey team here in Cornwall. They even won the league in the 2019-2020 season. With top scorers Marc-André Labelle and Gabriel Veilleux, there’s no stopping them. Support the Prowlers as they take on the Glengarry Pipers on December 19th and February 11th, the Deseronto Bulldogs on January 2nd, the Maxville Mustangs on January 8th, the South Grenville Rangers on January 15th, or the North Dundas Rockets on January 22nd. As you can see, there are plenty of home games to attend, all of which are held at the Benson Centre. Tickets are available at the door and proof of vaccination is required.
If you’re visiting Cornwall this winter, then we recommend grabbing a ticket to a Colts or Prowlers game. And if you’re looking for a place to stay during your visit, we’d love to have you at the Ramada by Wyndham Cornwall.
