It’s that time of year again! The leaves have turned, the air is crisp, and Halloween is just around the corner. After last year, we couldn't be more grateful that Halloween is back on in Cornwall, and there are plenty of ways to celebrate. From Upper Canada Village’s iconic Pumpkinferno event to a spooky ghost walk, check out the top three ways to celebrate Halloween 2021 in Cornwall.

Pumpkinferno

Pumpkinferno is back at Upper Canada Village this Halloween. This festive event runs nightly until Halloween and features a wide range of exhibits and activities. 2021 marks the 10th year of this popular event, which means they are going all out. Visitors can expect to find dazzling luminary installations featuring over 7,000 hand-carved glowing pumpkins. Tickets must be purchased in advance, with admission costing $20 per person (children under 4 are free).

Trunk or Treat

The Optimist Club of Cornwall is hosting their COVID-safe Trunk or Treat event once again. An alternative to traditional trick-or-treating, Trunk or Treat is a family-friendly walk-through Halloween event. Volunteers will be on-site handing out wrapped treats while participants make their way through 30+ booths. Costumes are encouraged and face masks are mandatory. Like last year, the 2021 edition of Trunk or Treat is taking place in Lamoureux Park starting at 4:30 pm on October 31st.

Ghost Walk for Charity

Ghost Walks are returning to Cornwall this spooky season, and we couldn’t be more excited. As one of the largest indoor haunted walks in Canada, Ghost Walk is sure to scare. Walks are taking place October 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 28, 28, and 30. Family-friendly hours are from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm each night, but after that, prepare to be frightened! There is even an “extra scare” experience available on the final night of the event, October 30th from 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm. All tickets for Ghost Walk are purchased at the door, with prices ranging from $10 for adults to $8 for children (or a family pass for $30).

If you’re going to be in Cornwall this Halloween, then we suggest attending any of the events above. And if you need a place to stay during your trip, we’d love to host you at the Ramada by Wyndham Cornwall
